Night outdoor photograph at an evening event with strings of lights and small triangular pennants overhead. A central figure in a maroon-red turban and long maroon-brown robe with a white jasmine garland smiles while a man in white shirt and trousers with a red shawl leans in toward him at left. Beside him, an older man in white kurta with a pen in his pocket stands, and at right two men in white shirts, one wearing a white vest with green trim and a tree logo, stand close. Another man with a white forehead marking and garland is visible behind. Several people are gathered in the crowd, and the scene is lit by a bright spotlight.

A man in a maroon turban, maroon robe and white jasmine garland stands centre, hands pressed together and smiling, appearing to be a person by his turban, saffron-toned robe, garland and central position. Beside him a young man with a white tilak on his forehead, white dhoti, gold-bead necklaces and bare chest holds a small metal vessel. A man in white in the left foreground with a red scarf faces away from the camera, and several other people in colourful clothes stand around.2016-05-16May 16 20162016-05-16May 16 20162016-05-16May 16 20162016-05-16 +1 copiesA nighttime outdoor crowd scene at a Kumbh Mela-style gathering with bright floodlights and a row of small saffron and multicoloured flags behind. At the centre, a man in a maroon-red turban, a white jasmine garland, and a rust-brown robe with a ceremonial braided shawl is smiling and extending his hands toward the people around him. Probable Swamiji by appearance cues: a turban and white flower garland over saffron-toned ceremonial clothing, with several devotees around him. To his right, a bare-chested man with long swept-back hair and white ash marks is wearing a gold-trimmed ceremonial cloth. A bearded man in an orange saffron robe and red beaded necklace leans in from the lower right, reaching out a hand. A smiling man in white with a red shawl stands at left, and devotees in orange and saffron robes with white forehead markings fill the frame, along with a woman in yellow in the foreground.2016-05-16May 16 20162016-05-16Night photograph at an outdoor tent event with string lights along the top. At the centre, a smiling man in a rust-red turban, rust-red wrap and a long white flower garland, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, is surrounded by people. Beside him a young boy in a green and red striped shirt is held close. Around them, saffron-clad and white-clad men press in; one man on the left has a gold ceremonial necklace and forehead markings, another on the right wears a gold necklace and a rudraksha-style mala. A man in white kurta stands to the right, and a person holds up a mobile phone in the lower right. Colourful decorative panels line the tent backdrop. Several people are visible, with the central figure and surrounding devotees forming the group. Swamiji (probable): the central figure wears a rust-red turban, a long flower garland and a rudraksha mala, cues associated with Swamiji's presentation in this event context.2016-05-16
