A small white pickup truck with an orange banner on its side is parked at left, and a cluster of about eight people in white and mixed clothing stands near the truck and a small shrine. At right is an ornate stone temple gopuram-style entrance with carved figures on its roof and a doorway, with thatched huts and a tin-roofed shed behind. No individual's appearance supports an identification, so no candidate is marked.2012-01-04December 31 20082008-12-31December 31 20082008-12-31Outdoor procession on a pale sandy path lined with coconut palms under a hazy sky. Men in white dhotis and shirts walk in formation; drummers in white with red cloth sashes play large drums, and a man in a red dhoti beats a drum at left. A central bearded man in white stands with hands folded. Behind him, people carry long wooden staffs and brass pots with flower offerings; one carries an ornate gold-trimmed cloth pennant. Two women in white saris with red borders join the line, and a decorated canopy with embroidered red, yellow and blue fringe marks the procession. Several people carry small brass offering trays with yellow flowers and sweets. No identifiable a person is visibly present in this shot.2005-01-01 +1 copiesA large outdoor crowd gathers among tall coconut palms on red earth beside a temporary white-walled structure. Many devotees wear white dhotis and kurtas, while women wear saris in pink, blue, green, yellow and purple. A line of rope holds back the crowd near a palm trunk, where people press forward. A man in a brown shirt with a red-and-yellow waist cloth and a white-clad man near a drum stand at the front of the group. The scene suggests a festival gathering in a rural ashram setting.2008-12-31January 04 20122012-01-04January 01 20122012-01-01April 19 20082008-04-19July 27 20082008-07-27Outdoor relief camp on bare sandy ground under striped maroon, purple and green canopies.
