Night photograph of a large fire blazing in the centre, with flames and sparks rising around a wooden structure of bamboo and logs. Around the fire, many men in white dhotis and shirts raise long wooden poles and torches, some holding flaming torches aloft. In the foreground at right, a bald man in a white dhoti with an orange-bordered shawl stands with folded hands near the fire, while another man in an orange-trimmed white garment is nearby. Dark night sky and a single distant light form the background.
