Outdoor ritual at a crowded riverside festival. A man in a seated position on a red-cushioned golden throne wears an orange-saffron turban, orange robe with a gold-bordered shawl, and a long beaded necklace; his palms are cupped over a brass bowl while a man in white kurta pours milk from a brass vessel. A Shiva-style brass or silver murti and a red-cloth altar hold fruit, marigold garlands, and small dishes of colored powders. Around them, shaved-headed sadhus in orange, a bare-chested child with tilak, and devotees in white and pink press close, with a golden canopy above. Probable Swamiji seated centrally on the throne, identified by orange turban, saffron robes, and ornate beaded necklaces.
