A ritual in a gold-decorated shrine: a priest with a reddish-orange turban and orange-brown dhoti stands at left, arm raised, holding a lit multi-wick oil lamp (aarti) toward a seated deity murti. The murti on the right is adorned with garlands of orange, red and purple flowers, gold jewellery and a trident, seated on a gold-framed throne with an orange drape. Behind the priest a tall silver lamp stand and a gold-and-silver altar with idols and offerings sit under a gold arch. Several devotees are seen from behind at the bottom edge. Brass oil lamps stand in the foreground, and smoke or light haze fills the room.
