A busy street scene in a small Tamil Nadu town under a pale sky with overhead power lines. In the foreground, schoolgirls in blue-and-white checked uniforms with blue backpacks walk past parked motorcycles, and a bare-chested man in a white shirt and white dhoti walks across the road. Motorcycle riders and pedestrians crowd the roadside, with a woman in a green sari and women in orange and pink saris standing near a tea stall. Brick buildings, a scaffolded structure, shop signs and a partly built multi-storey building line the street, with a large tree on the right.
