A group of devotees wearing white clothes, some with yellow sashes, wade in the water while a man in white and yellow is lifted onto the shoulders of others. A decorated wooden palanquin draped with garlands and flowers stands at the right edge, with a carved golden deity face above it. Spectators in saffron, white and colourful saris sit on the red steps watching. Water sprays from a fountain near the stairs.

Outdoor water ritual at a temple-like complex: a large black Shivalinga with garlands and a water fountain stands beside a tiered red stone stepped bathing area. Many people in white ritual clothes wade in shallow water, some with yellow sashes. A woman in orange sits on a decorated flower-garlanded palanquin or float at right, with a small crowd of devotees around it. Spectators in white sit on the red steps behind. A man is lifted on others' shoulders near the steps, and a bald man in white stands in the foreground raising an arm. The platform is draped with marigolds, roses and garlands, topped with an orange canopy, and a seated figure in orange robes sits within it. Many people stand waist-deep in the water wearing white clothes, some in yellow or pink, forming a circle around the platform and holding hands. Others stand on the steps in white, and palm trees and a floodlight stand behind. Individual physical figures are too small to describe reliably, and the seated figure's appearance is not clear enough to identify.2010-07-26October 17 20102010-10-17July 26 20102010-07-26A photograph of a large sunken stone bathing tank with red-painted tiered steps around its edges. Dozens of people in white clothes stand and wade in greenish water, many with wet hair, some holding hands in a line. Water sprays upward from jets along the left edge. On the left, a decorated platform holds a deity murti garlanded with marigolds and flower strands, beneath a small umbrella. Several people in saffron and white clothes stand on the steps at right, with a few spectators sitting in the tiered seating above. The scene looks like a temple tank ritual bath.2010-07-26A photograph of a ceremony on water at tiered red-stepped ghats with a decorated seated figure on a raised dais under a yellow canopy. The seated person wears orange robes and sits on a red throne framed by a white flower-garlanded arch with yellow and red floral decoration. Many people stand waist-deep in the water in white dhotis and white shirts, saris in green, pink and maroon, and orange and yellow clothing, some facing the dais with hands folded or carrying small red vessels. A person in white stands in the right foreground, and a bald elderly man in a striped shirt stands at the right edge. Water ripples in the foreground under the bright sky.2010-10-17Photograph of a shallow outdoor pool or tank with red-tiered seating behind it. A decorated shrine-like arch, edged with white flower garlands and marigolds and topped by a yellow canopy, stands at the water's edge. A seated figure in orange-saffron robes sits on a red-draped raised seat within the arch. Devotees wade in the water in white dhotis and white clothes, some in striped or coloured garments, with women in saris at the right. A few people stand on the stairs at the left, and a small figure is shown inside the arch beside the seated person.
