Night photograph of the Arunachaleshwara temple tank, viewed through a metal grille with blurred wooden frame edges in the foreground. Large illuminated string-light figures of standing and dancing devotees holding hands in a line, with a central shivalinga-style form, glow in red, green, yellow and blue above the dark water and mirror in reflection. A tall white-lit gopuram tower rises behind, with strings of fairy lights stretching across the sky. No people are visible in the scene.
