Behind her, a man in white kurta and dhoti also walks toward the pit, and further back other men in white shirts and orange-trimmed white garments are present.

Outdoor ritual under a large spreading tree with thick branches. A woman in an orange saree with a dark rudraksha mala and a gold pendant holds a wooden bowl of reddish-brown earth or powder, while another woman in a multicoloured patterned blouse and a blue-striped saree with a gold necklace reaches toward it. Behind them a woman in a red-brown saree with a rudraksha mala kneels and digs or sifts soil.
