Photograph of a sandy outdoor festival setting with a row of plain metal tables holding small brass bowls. Young people in white clothes and orange headbands stand along the tables, some with white shawls. A man in a white kurta with an orange cloth over his shoulder stands at the right, facing the table. Behind them a long white building with a corrugated roof and palm trees, and a crowd of onlookers in white and colourful clothes gathers. A red banner with a portrait is on the wall. No identifiable a person appearance is visible in this frame.

Several men in white kurta and dhoti wear orange headbands and have white powder smeared on their faces. Along a long green-topped table, bowls of flour sit on a dusting of white powder, and the men reach toward them with hands outstretched. A young man in a dark blazer and red tie walks in the foreground. Behind them, a decorated chariot or palanquin with red, orange and white garlands and a small canopy rises at the right edge, and a man in orange and white stands on a raised spot in the background.2007-12-25
