Before him a man in a red long-sleeved top and grey trousers lies prostrate on a blue patterned mat, head bowed to the seated figure's feet in obeisance. A long-haired figure in an orange-saffron top and orange wrap sits on a folding chair with a trident placed beside them, gesturing mid-conversation. Facing them, a seated person in a white kurta with long dark hair presses their palms together in a respectful namaste gesture. Two people in total are present. Based on the saffron clothing, long swept-back hair and the Varanasi riverside setting, the figure in orange is a probable Swamiji in person, while the figure in white is a devotee.2006-01-09A photograph at a riverbank with a wide expanse of calm, grey-brown water behind a stone embankment. A long-haired figure in an orange-saffron robe sits cross-legged on the stone steps, facing the water. Beside them, a person in white clothes bends forward in a prostration, head lowered near the seated figure's feet. The distant bank shows a row of buildings and steps. The seated figure has long dark hair and orange clothing, a presentation consistent with a person, with cues of long swept-back hair and saffron robes; the identification rests on appearance only. The white-clad figure is a devotee performing a prostration.2006-01-08January 09 20062006-01-09Outdoors on a stone ghat beside a wide river, a long-haired man in an orange saffron robe sits on a folded blue mat and presses his right palm to the forehead of a kneeling man in white clothes with hands folded in prayer.
