In the foreground stands a tall brass multi-tiered oil lamp stand with many small lamp cups, beside a metal railing. Several uniformed police officers in khaki and caps move through the crowd, and a cameraman with a video camera on his shoulder films nearby. Devotees in white and plain clothes stand behind the barrier, and a yellow-draped ceremonial seat is visible at right.
