Wide outdoor view of a steep, rocky Himalayan mountain rising above a small town of concrete buildings and tin roofs along a valley. Snow-capped peaks appear on both sides under a blue sky with white clouds. A grey steel truss footbridge crosses the foreground, with a few small figures in orange clothing walking on it. A large leafy tree stands at the left edge, and power lines run across the sky.

Crowds of pilgrims in bright clothing walk along a steel truss footbridge and a railed stone walkway above a river gorge. Terraced rooftops of small shops and houses line the slope, and a multi-tiered temple with a gold-trimmed roof, red pennants and ornate carved facade stands at upper right, with steps leading up to it. A large painted sign with Hindi lettering is set into the hillside. Many small figures are visible at the temple, on the bridge and along the walkway. The scene is a Himalayan pilgrimage site during a yatra.2006-06-01A hillside Himalayan town with a temple complex built on rocky ground above a turbulent river.
