A decorated Shiva lingam, the Moolavar of a temple shrine, is the central subject. The black stone lingam wears a gold-toned three-line tripundra mark and small gold ornaments, and is draped with a thick garland of rudraksha beads, marigolds, red and orange flowers and white blossoms. A gold yoni-base and an elaborate gold-and-pearl ornamental piece with a central medallion sit at its base. Behind it, a bright lime-green and maroon silk cloth covers the stone, and gold-framed shrine carvings and hanging pink, blue and yellow fabrics fill the background. No people are visible.
