Night ritual photograph under a corrugated metal roof. A long-haired man in a rust-red draped robe with a gold chain holds a silver lamp with a flame toward a large blue-skinned statue of a goddess with a white crown, yellow marigold garlands, and a white embroidered sari, her raised hand holding flowers. Two onlookers stand behind: one in an orange robe with rudraksha beads, another with long matted hair and a white-and-saffron wrap. A reclining figure lies draped in flowers and a pink cloth at the statue's base, with a small statue figure on the goddess's arm. Colourful string lights hang in the background.

A man with long dark hair and a rust-red unstitched robe, bare-shouldered with a red thread on his wrist, raises both arms toward a tattered map labelled in English and Kannada about cities across 47 countries, with green lights marked on it. Beside him stands a large blue-skinned deity murti with a white ornate crown, a white embroidered garment and a yellow-and-white marigold garland, one hand holding a tray with offerings. A seated young man with a rudraksha mala and bare chest sits behind a red-draped table where a dark ceremonial figure lies among flowers. Strings of coloured lights hang overhead.2017-11-15October 19 20172017-10-19November 15 20172017-11-15November 15 20172017-11-15November 15 20172017-11-15Night-time photograph of a Kali puja at an outdoor shrine lit with green light. A man with long dark hair, a tilak on his forehead, a red and maroon cloth wrap and a red-beaded mala stands at left, garlanding a large blue-skinned Kali murti with a yellow and red marigold garland; he raises his arm to her head. The murti holds a sword and has a white crown and silver arm bands. Beneath it lies a small figure of Shiva on a green satin cloth. A brass oil lamp with a peacock-shaped stem burns in the foreground, and a wall map with lights behind shows cities across 47 countries. Plants and palm fronds frame the scene. The man is an appearance-uncertain candidate for a person, shown with long hair, a mala and a wrap, but the face and garb are not distinctive enough to confirm.2015-11-10
