A shaved-headed man in a rust-red dhoti and matching shawl, with a rudraksha mala and tilak, kneels at a copper-coloured pillar draped with yellow marigold garlands, while a second man in a white dhoti with a gold border, bare-chested, holds a white cloth and rope for a dhwajarohanam flag-hoisting. A camera operator is at left, and shaved-headed devotees in red and orange clothing clap at right. A tall flagstaff topped with dark feathery finial rises at left.

Two priests in saffron-red dhotis with gold-yellow borders stand beside a large carved bronze-brown kalasha-shaped vessel draped with white jasmine garlands and red flower garlands. The priest on the right, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala and a sacred thread, holds an orange cord and raises his arm, while the priest in the center also raises an arm toward the top of the vessel, which is crowned with green leaves. A bald man in glasses and a white shirt stands at the lower right edge, partly visible. The scene suggests a temple abhishekam or pooja procession.2013-08-20 +1 copiesDecember 18 20132013-12-18September 13 20102010-09-13
