A photograph of a temple shrine with a figure in an orange top and saffron-orange dhoti leaning forward with folded hands toward a green-clad deity murti seated on a raised platform. Two large painted deity murtis with ornate crowns, gold necklaces and garlands of yellow and red flowers sit behind, one in orange and gold silk. A red curtain hangs at left beside stone pillars, with a hand-held camera visible in the lower right. The figure's face is turned away, so the person is unidentified; the figure is a devotee at worship.

A seated person in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a bare chest tends brass vessels and offerings at the base of the altar. Two large deity murtis are behind, one crowned with a red-and-orange turban and draped in beaded necklaces, the other in a gold and green garment with a crown, both decorated with yellow and red marigold garlands. Brass lamps and kalasha-style vessels sit on the altar in front, with a white-draped stone platform below. Green trees are visible at the left edge. The seated figure appears to be performing puja.2007-12-22Night ritual photograph of a shaved-head devotee in an orange cloth, bare-backed, bending forward to offer abhishekam to a pair of silver-and-gold deity murtis seated on a pedestal. The murtis wear white cloth, garlands of yellow and red flowers, layered necklaces, crowns and a trident beside them. The devotee applies a white substance over the figure's base. Stone pillars frame the shrine behind them.2007-02-16A photograph of a covered open temple shrine with carved stone pillars and a dark red curtain backdrop. Two large deity statues stand behind a central altar: the figure on the left holds a trident and wears an orange-red turban and a garland, while the figure on the right wears a tall crown, a green and orange skirt and a gold-coloured ornamented headdress. The altar is draped with white cloth and layered with yellow and red marigold garlands. In the foreground a person in an orange robe kneels and tends the altar, arranging brass vessels, a kalasha, lamps and a bell. A second person in orange stands partly visible at the left edge. Abhishekam or puja offerings are laid out on the platform, and sunlight falls across the pillars.2007-12-22A photograph of a temple shrine with two large painted deity murtis behind a draped white-clad seated figure adorned with yellow and red marigold garlands and a white jasmine garland. In the foreground, a sannyasi in saffron-orange robes bows deeply with his head pressed forward, close to the seated figure. Brass oil lamps and a small brass pot sit on the floor, and a smaller decorated murti stands on a gold pedestal at right. Red curtains frame the shrine and sunlight falls across the stone pillars. The bowing figure has long tousled hair, and their saffron robe and distinctive visible cues are consistent with a person, but the seated figure's face is not visible, so the identity of that person is uncertain.2007-12-22Night-time photograph of a Shiva-Parvati deity murti pair, gilded and richly ornamented with crowns, red and white garments, and yellow-and-red marigold garlands. The seated Shiva figure holds a trident and a ritual implement, and the goddess beside him wears a red and green sari. A bare-chested man in saffron-orange cloth with long hair leans in at the lower left, pouring or offering over the base near a black sequined vessel, consistent with an abhishekam-style ritual. The base is carved stone and the background is dark stone architecture.2007-02-16July 07 20092009-07-07December 23 20072007-12-23A priest in an orange-saffron cloth stands at left, bare-shouldered and with long dark hair, pouring liquid over a black lingam on a gold-toned pedestal. Behind him sits a painted-metal deity murti of Shiva and Parvati on a raised throne, Shiva in a white cloth with a red headband and a trident, Parvati in a green and red sari with a crown. Both murtis wear yellow and red garlands and gold ornaments. The setting is a dark night temple archway with carved stone pillars.2007-02-16February 16 20072007-02-16December 25 20072007-12-25A photograph of a figure in a saffron/orange robe with long dark hair and a rudraksha-style necklace seated at the lower left, performing a ritual with a small lamp and brass vessels arranged on a white-draped platform. Behind, two large painted deity statues stand on a raised dais decorated with garlands of orange, yellow and white flowers; the taller figure wears an orange turban and holds a trident-like staff, and the other wears a tall crown and green-and-orange garment. A red curtain frames the open stone pavilion with carved pillars, and a small shrine stands at the right. The statues are not living people, and the saffron-clad figure is an appearance-based candidate whose identity is uncertain, so the description records only the ritual role.2007-12-22
