A photograph of a Sudarshan Homa ritual at a temple. In the centre, a deity murti wearing a tall jeweled crown with red and blue stones and a green leaf garland sits on a white cloth, surrounded by marigold and white flower garlands. Smoke rises in the background, with golden lions and a gold kalasha visible. On the right, two priests in saffron-orange dhotis stand at the homa; one has long matted hair and holds a ritual implement, the other wears an orange shawl and holds a small vessel with white ash markings on his arms. Gold lamps stand at left.

In the foreground a fire burns in a homa pit. Behind it stands a golden deity murti or yantra-topped shrine heaped with yellow and white flower garlands, flanked by a golden lion statue on the left and brass lamps on the right. A man seen from behind, bare-chested with an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders, raises a tray or vessel toward the shrine, performing puja. Red and orange drapes and marigold garlands frame the scene.2022-02-25ADIKAILASA on 2/25/20222022-02-25Photograph of a golden temple shrine decorated with yellow and white flower garlands, with golden lion statues at the front and red draped cloth behind. A shaven-headed man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands with palms pressed together in prayer, facing an ornate golden throne-like peetha holding a deity murti adorned with flowers and a jeweled crown. Smoke or incense haze fills the scene. The man is a devotee or priest, not a person candidate by visible cues here; his shaved head and plain saffron attire lack distinctive identifiers.2022-02-25ADIKAILASA on 2/25/20222022-02-25ADIKAILASA on 2/25/20222022-02-25
