Outdoor scene beneath large banyan and shade trees at a paved courtyard being laid out for a temple. Yellow and white chalk or paint lines mark the floor plan on stone paving slabs. A bare-chested man with long dreadlocks and a white-and-gold dhoti stands at left with arms folded, facing a group of about six people. The group includes a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, a man in a pink shirt and teal sarong, and women in orange and maroon saris. Coils of rope lie on the ground at lower center, and a wooden post and small potted plants sit at right. No one in the group is identifiable as a figure with distinctive a person cues.
