Photograph of a large crowd standing waist-deep in a water tank around a tall black stone lingam with water cascading from its base and a trident placed in the water at left. A figure in red robes with a white garland stands on a raised platform at the lingam's centre with arms raised. Many devotees in white clothes, some with raised hands, surround the platform; others wear orange and saffron tones. Red and white striped steps line the tank behind, with a small crowd of people on the steps. Strings of red and white garlands decorate the lingam's collar. Appears to be a ritual bathing or abhishekam event.
