On the right, an illuminated deity murti or figure draped in red and gold cloth sits on the decorated ratha/chariot, with garlands and gold ornaments. A banner on the float reads a Tamil caption with a portrait. The scene is dimly lit and the crowd is dense, with many faces partly visible in the dark.
