Strands of rudraksha beads, a silver sacred thread and a jewelled gold band with a red central stone decorate the lingam. Yellow marigold garlands and magenta flowers hang on either side, and a green leafy garland crowns the top. The scene is a temple deity murti being adorned for worship; no people are visible.2011-08-13A golden ornate throne (peetha) with a five-headed naga-hood style canopy topped with gilded carved finials and hanging green stone pendants. Seated on it is a figure draped in an orange and gold-bordered cloth, with a shaved or covered head, wearing a diamond-studded armlet and a jewelled clasp. Heavy garlands of red and white roses cascade down the figure's body and across the throne, interspersed with large rudraksha beads. Green foliage is tucked behind the garlands. A green silk curtain hangs at the left edge and a blurred green tree background is visible at right. The figure's face is not visible.2011-08-04 +1 copies
