A photograph of a padapuja ritual in a home interior. An elderly woman in a pale yellow top and white dhoti kneels at lower left, pouring liquid from a small steel cup over bare feet resting on a silver tray. The feet belong to a person in a rust-red robe with an orange-and-gold border, adorned with a white jasmine garland and red flowers. On the tray are yellow flower petals and a dark leaf-shaped object. Beside her, an elderly man in a white shirt and white dhoti sits with a steel cup, and behind them several devotees stand with folded hands, including a man in an orange robe with rudraksha mala and a small girl in a red dress.

Beside him a woman in a deep maroon sari with gold border and a white vibhuti line on her forehead, wearing a beaded mala, bends forward to pour water from a silver vessel over the offering. An elderly woman in a white sari with gold border kneels at lower left, reaching toward a brass plate of flowers, fruit and garland-wrapped offerings. Another older woman in white sits behind her. In the centre, a seated figure in a deep orange-red robe has bare feet extended onto the plate while devotees touch them. Behind, several young men in orange robes and rudraksha malas sit in rows, and a seated young man in white dhoti with gold border and a white shawl rests his hands together. A white-clad man with a shaved head sits at upper left. Pink floral cloth lies on the floor and a metal stand stands at right.2014-07-04 +1 copiesA seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a long swept-back hairstyle and a large floral garland of red and white flowers and green leaves holds a silver staff-like ritual implement raised upward, while a young woman in white sari and gold jewellery pours liquid from a small metal vessel into a brass tray of fruit. Around them stand devotees: a woman in a red-bordered sari and a bangled woman with hands folded, young men in white shirts and saffron dhotis, and a youth with rudraksha mala and bare chest wearing white cloth. Doorway and yellow-green walls frame the room. The scene suggests a ritual offering or abhishekam-style pooja in a small room, with the seated figure's cues (long swept-back hair, saffron robe, floral garland) but the appearance is not distinct enough to confirm identity.2014-07-04 +1 copiesPadapuja ritual in progress: a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha-style bead garland has bare feet being washed over a large brass plate filled with petals and water.
