A night-time outdoor ritual photo. Several bald men in white dhotis and bare upper bodies sit on a raised platform around a fire pit. A standing priest in white dhoti and red-bordered cloth extends his hand over the fire, with gold necklaces on his chest. A seated devotee in white with palms joined faces the ceremony. Brass oil lamps with lit flames stand in the foreground, with fruit offerings, a green silk-bordered bundle with flower garlands, and a kalasha-like ritual setting. Gold rings hang from a pole overhead, with decorative banners and green leaf garlands strung across the scene.
