A bare-chested older man with a grey beard and a dark rudraksha mala sits at left, wearing an orange dhoti with a red and gold-bordered shawl, performing a ritual gesture with his hands. A younger man in an orange robe at right reaches toward a copper vessel and brass lota on a tray. Surrounding them are brass plates of yellow and red flower petals, marigold garlands, a coconut, sliced fruit, kumkum and turmeric, a brass kalasha and a brass bell. A central seated figure with long, wavy dark hair wears an orange robe, a red bindi, and a rudraksha mala, with bare feet on a folded mat, and holds a thread or string that a young man in white dhoti and orange shawl is winding. Another man in a white dhoti and yellow shawl kneels before him, holding a wooden rod, beside a brass kalasha or pot. A tray of white flower petals rests at lower left, and several people in white with orange shawls sit or stand along the back and right, some with hands folded. A dark wall-mounted board with lettering is visible at upper right. The seated figure is an appearance-based candidate for a person but the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so the figure is recorded as a person in orange in the ritual.2007-08-08July 21 20102010-07-21April 17 20172017-04-17A temple ritual in an orange-walled shrine room with a gold-trimmed altar.
