A photograph of a mountain pilgrimage procession on a stone-paved forest path lined with moss-covered trees. Several men carry a wooden palanquin with a long-haired man in a turquoise-blue kurta seated on it, with orange cloth draped over the poles. Around them, devotees in orange and saffron garments, orange shawls and rain jackets walk along, one man in a white dhoti and orange shirt at right, and a woman in an orange top with a backpack follows behind. Orange flags are visible at left. The palanquin bearer in the centre wears a green sweater. Many people walk in the group, a Himalayan yatra scene.

Porters carry a palanquin-style seat on wooden poles: a woman in a blue top and orange skirt sits in it, held by men in striped shirts and vests. Several riders on mules and ponies follow along the path, some in orange and white garments and plastic rain covers. Pilgrims walk behind on the red-brick path, one wearing an orange shirt, another in a dark blue jacket with an orange cloth. Many wear orange and saffron clothing and some have orange head cloths. A man in a light shirt sits or rides in the palanquin, which is supported by several bearers. A young man in orange with a camera around his neck walks at the front right, and a bearer in a green cap is visible at the center. A white and red railing runs along the right edge of the path, and steel cables stretch over the scene above the trail.2006-05-24June 30 20082008-06-30 +1 copies
