Indoor hall with a blue mat stage and red drapes, where young men in orange and red sannyasi-style cloth perform a pole-climbing gymnastics display. One young performer in orange shorts climbs to the top of a tall wooden pole while another holds its base. A shirtless man in blue shorts grips the pole near the mat. In the foreground a shirtless bearded man with white forehead markings and a rudraksha-style pendant sits calmly, and another performer in orange stretches on the mat. Several shirtless and orange-clad participants stand along the side, with audience members seated at left.

Several boys in orange and red shorts and bare-chested stand on each other's shoulders, with the topmost child balanced high above, arms outstretched. Other boys lie on the mat supporting the base and steady the central wooden pole, while onlookers stand along the left wall. A tripod and rolled striped mats sit on the floor, and a framed picture hangs on the left wall. The scene resembles a gymnastics or mallakhamb-style display rather than a ritual. No a person candidate is visibly identifiable among the performers.2017-08-13A gymnastic display in a hall with a blue mat, where a performer in an orange top and dark shorts is inverted on a tall wooden pole, legs raised toward the ceiling. Shirtless young men in dark and red shorts stand around the mat, some clapping and smiling. Seated devotees in white dhotis and saffron shawls, many wearing rudraksha malas, watch from the floor. Framed photographs hang on pink walls with red curtains, and the ceiling has fluorescent lights and fans.2017-08-13
