Photograph of a home padapuja visit indoors. A seated figure in a rust-orange robe with white flower garlands, a rudraksha mala, a large trident-topped staff held upright, and gold armband sits on a red floral rug, holding a small object toward an older man in white dhoti and shawl who is seated and having his forehead marked. A young boy in white sits beside them with a brass plate of yellow flowers. A woman in white with folded hands in the foreground, and younger women in patterned clothes lean in. Standing devotees in orange, white and striped clothes watch from behind. Framed deity pictures hang on the walls, and a flower-wreathed picture is visible at top left. Orange and white flower offerings lie on a cloth in front.

On the right, a seated man in a saffron-orange robe, with a long shawl, rudraksha mala and gold armband, holds a silver trident-staff and sits on a flowered floral mat, raising one hand in blessing. Before him, a grey-haired man in a white dhoti and white shawl holds a lit lamp in front of a silver bowl of flowers, while a young shaven-headed boy in white sits beside him. Two young women in kurtas sit in front of him with folded hands, and an older woman in a white sari with a red-orange shawl sits in the foreground with palms pressed together. Standing devotees, including a man in an orange shawl and a man in white, watch from the doorway. Rudraksha, marigold and rose garlands decorate the scene.2014-07-07 +2 copiesJuly 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesA seated man in an orange and maroon garment with a white garland and gold necklaces raises a silver trident with his right hand, while a bald man in white kneels before him holding a lit oil lamp over a plate of white flowers. A group of seated devotees in saffron, yellow and green clothing watch and fold their hands; a standing photographer in an orange dhoti takes pictures. Garlands of pink and white flowers decorate the chair and a flower arrangement lies at the feet. A second priest in orange sits in the background with hands folded, and framed pictures hang on the white wall. The scene suggests a domestic pada puja or aarti with a trident raised in blessing. The seated figure with the trident and dark swept-back hair, gold necklaces and orange-and-white garb matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of ornate clothing and a ceremonial seat.2014-06-20July 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copies
