A photograph of a temple aarti ritual in a colourful shrine room. In the foreground, a shaven-headed priest in rust-orange robes with white ash lines on his arms holds a multi-tiered brass aarti lamp with many burning flames. Behind him, a gilded throne with a peetha cushion holds a framed portrait of a smiling figure in orange robes; a few devotees sit nearby, one in white ritual dress and others in orange. Hanging brass lamps and garlands frame the shrine, and a hanging lamp stands at the left.

In the foreground a bald priest in a white dhoti raises a tiered silver aarti lamp with many lit flames toward a seated figure. The seated figure wears rust-red robes, an orange-brown shawl and a long rudraksha mala, sitting on an ornate gold throne with a tiger-striped cushion. Behind the throne, pink, yellow and green painted pillars and gold-lit arches frame the room. Small brass oil lamps stand on the floor, and women in red saris sit at the lower right beside a kneeling devotee.
