Photograph of a small bare-walled room with a barred window, where a man in an orange robe with a white flower garland is pressing a hand to the wall beside the window, scattering petals while a second man in orange, holding a brass oil lamp with a flame, stands at the left by the open doorway. A white cloth covers the floor with fruit and offerings, a bottle of water sits on a white-covered table, and a flower garland hangs on the right. A man in white stands partly visible at the far left edge. The scene looks like a ritual blessing of a new room during an inauguration.

A small bare-walled room with a barred window, where a woman in an orange sari with a white flower garland performs an aarti with a lit oil lamp on a brass lamp stand, standing on a white cloth. Beside her, a younger man in orange robes with a red-bordered cloth stands with palms pressed together in namaste. At the left edge, a man in white dhoti and shirt also joins palms in greeting. A white-draped table holds a garland of red and white flowers, fruit offerings and a water bottle, and a deity murti sits among offerings on the floor.2008-07-29 +1 copiesJuly 30 20082008-07-30July 29 20082008-07-29July 29 20082008-07-29Two saffron-clad sadhus stand in a bare, whitewashed room with a barred window. The foreground figure wears an orange turban with white flowers, an orange top and a red-orange dhoti, and reaches toward the wall beside the window. The second figure, in orange with a white shawl, holds a folded white cloth. On the right a white-draped table holds two framed portraits, one showing a robed figure seated beneath a tree, and a smaller framed portrait of a turbaned figure in orange; both are garlanded with pink and red flowers, and loose marigold petals lie on the cloth. Pink flowers are fixed to the wall above the table. The setting suggests a ritual offering before the portraits. The foreground figure has distinctive orange turban and saffron attire, but this is an appearance-based candidate only and the image is not clearly confirmed.2008-07-27July 29 20082008-07-29 +1 copiesThree people stand in a bare whitewashed room during a small ritual inauguration. On the left, a man in white shirt and white dhoti stands with palms pressed together in namaste. In the centre, a man in saffron orange robes with a red border holds his hands in anjali near a plain brown mat. On the right, a person in an orange sleeveless robe wearing a white flower garland holds a brass oil lamp with a flame and a small brass vessel, performing aarti before a small offering table with fruits, a water bottle and a floral-garlanded frame on a side table. A white cloth covers the floor area, and a barred window sits high on the wall.2008-07-29A standing figure in an orange saffron robe with a white flower garland performs an aarti with a lit oil lamp in a bare, whitewashed room with a barred window. A white cloth covers the floor; a steel plate holds coconut, bananas and red kumkum, with a water bottle nearby. A flower-decorated stand with red and white garlands stands at right. The figure has a plain shaved-looking head, a traditional ritual offering scene, with no visible crown, rudraksha mala or ceremonial gold, so identity is uncertain.2008-07-29 +1 copiesJuly 28 20082008-07-28July 27 20082008-07-27A photograph of an unadorned room with bare grey walls and a tiled floor. A man in an orange-saffron robe and an orange turban strung with a white and pink flower garland holds a lit oil lamp toward a small altar on the right. The altar has a white draped cloth edged with orange and marigold petals, and holds two framed pictures: a larger picture with pink flower garlands showing a seated figure before a large deity image, and a smaller framed portrait of a smiling saffron-clad man. A second person in white stands behind at the left edge, partly visible with hands folded. Window grilles and a wall-mounted pipe are visible.2008-07-27A photo inside a bare whitewashed room where a puja is being performed before a white-draped altar table. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand with their backs to the camera; the taller one wears an orange shawl with gold border and a white flower garland over his shoulders, and the other holds a tray of pink petals. On the altar, framed portraits are decorated with garlands: one shows a seated figure in orange against a mountain landscape, and the other a deity murti. Pink rose petals are scattered on the cloth, with brass oil lamps, a kalasha-style pot, fruit, and a tray of offerings in front.2008-07-28
