Outdoor photograph at a palace compound in Kerala: a large grey elephant with its trunk extended toward a man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala, who rests his hand on the trunk. The elephant is chained at its foot and a mahout in a red-checked shirt and orange dhoti stands at its side. Behind, several devotees in white and cream clothing watch, including a woman in a white sari with a shawl. Palm trees and banana plants frame the scene. The man in orange has long dark hair with a distinctive visible presentation, and the appearance is consistent with a person candidate, though the cues are not conclusive.
