A tall white gopuram, the tiered ornamental gateway tower of a South Indian temple, rises against a pale blue sky. Its many stacked tiers are covered with carved sculptures of figures, pilasters and niches, and a rounded sculpted finial sits at the top. Green trees and a row of small white bull (nandi) figures line the pink-washed wall at the lower right.
