December 29 20102010-12-29A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned seat, wearing a large garland of red and white flowers and pressing his palms together in greeting. Around him on the floor, a group of women in white and yellow-bordered saris and a few men in white dhotis sit in a semicircle, several holding brass plates with fruit, sweets, flowers and lit oil lamps. Behind them is an orange-and-white striped wall and a brass lamp stand, indicating a temple-style hall. The man on the throne is a figure presented with honour; the appearance cues of a long-haired figure in saffron clothing and rudraksha are not clearly visible here, so identity is uncertain.2010-09-02A seated man on a gilded throne with a red cushioned seat sits in the centre, palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing an orange-saffron robe with a garland of red and yellow flowers around his neck. Around him on the floor, a group of devotees sit in a semicircle; several women wear white or cream saris with yellow borders and yellow shawls, a woman in a pink sari leans forward holding a brass plate, and a young man in white leans in with his hands raised. Brass vessels and flower offerings lie near the throne, and the setting is a open-sided hall with red draped cloth and pillars behind. Pressed palms and offerings suggest devotional worship.2010-01-02 +2 copiesJuly 03 20122012-07-03 +1 copiesA seated figure on a gilded throne with red cushions, wearing an orange robe and a long garland of red and white flowers, presses palms together in greeting. Some people have their hands folded in prayer, and a child in orange sits at the right edge.
