December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04Outdoor photograph at a South Indian temple approach during a festival visit. Three men in saffron-orange robes walk along a paved path lined with people. The man on the left has long, swept-back dark hair, an orange wrap and a white flower garland. The man on the right has a grey beard, a saffron shawl over the shoulder and bare feet, and gestures with an open hand; he could be a person in the saffron robes and presentation, and the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm. Between them walks a man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange shawl and a pink badge. Behind them uniformed police officers, a man in a blue-checked shirt and a cameraman with a video camera are visible. Background includes a pink temple wall, palm trees, a colourful festoon decoration and a framed portrait of a deity with a lit background.2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04Photograph of a procession at a temple courtyard with a colourful kolam floor design of flowers in pink, green, yellow and red. A central figure in saffron-orange robes and a long beaded garland, with long dark hair swept back, a red tilak on his forehead and bare feet, walks forward flanked by men in white. Behind him a man in an orange shawl walks beside a man in white with a pink rosette, and a woman in a red sari follows. Marigold garlands and yellow-red festoons hang above, with pink temple walls behind and a small television on a stand at left. Several onlookers and a boy in a red shirt appear at the edges. The central figure matches the appearance cues of Swamiji (probable), with long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a garland, walking in procession.2006-12-04Outdoor photograph at a temple precinct with a stone wall, a mountain behind, palm trees and a pink colonnaded building. A younger man with long dark swept-back hair, a red bindi, an orange robe and a white-and-green garland walks forward at centre, with a long beaded necklace. Beside him a bearded older man in an orange shawl points ahead. A man in white dhoti and shirt wears a pink rosette, and a crowd of men in shirts and dhotis walks along a path lined with yellow barriers. A gilded temple gopuram-style structure with yellow canopies stands in the background. Two persons appear clearly; several others are visible in the crowd.2006-12-04Photograph of a temple courtyard procession at a South Indian temple, with a pink gopuram-style wall and stone pillars behind. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, a saffron/orange robe and a long garland of white flowers walks forward, smiling. Swamiji (probable): long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a garland are present, and the figure is walking in a procession. To his left a bearded man wears a white dhoti-style kurta with an orange shawl and a pink garland; beside him an older woman in a purple sari walks. Behind them an older man in an orange robe, a man in white, and other devotees and women in saris follow. A woman in a red sari sits to the right holding a flower garland, and a uniformed police officer stands in the background. A coloured kolam rangoli design is visible on the ground at left, and a framed poster hangs on the wall.2006-12-04A photo of two saffron-robed sannyasis walking outdoors near a temple complex with a colourful gopuram and a pink wall, palm trees and a hill behind. In front, a long-haired man in orange robes wears a green leaf garland and a gold necklace with a red mark on his forehead, smiling. Beside him, a bald, white-bearded elder in an orange shawl gestures with his hand. Behind them a man in white dhoti and a saffron cloth walks, and several devotees in shirts and trousers are around, with a uniformed police officer in the background. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, rudraksha-style gold necklace, orange robes and a green garland on the long-haired figure.2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04
