Photograph of a Vishesha Dravya Homa during Navaratri at Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Devalayam, Adi KAILASA. Thick white smoke rises from a sacred fire pit in the foreground, where a charred wooden branch and round white offering balls sit on the platform. A person in an orange garment holds a metal plate heaped with white round offerings over the smoke. Behind, a man in a white dhoti with a gold border, bare-backed, stands near bunches of yellow and red-striped flowers and a green cloth. Caption text reads Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Devalayam, Adi KAILASA, Navaratri 2021, Day 3 - Vishesha Dravya Homa, with a copyright mark.

October 09 20212021-10-09A homa fire pit emits thick white smoke as a hand in an orange garment tips a silver plate of round golden sweet balls into the fire. Behind the fire, bowls and heaps of bananas, apples and other fruit fill the background. Round yellow offerings rest on the wooden platform. Large fruit offerings and a smoky ritual setting suggest a Navaratri Chandi Homa at a Hindu temple. The printed caption reads Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Devalayam, Adi KAILASA, Navaratri 2021, Day 3, Vishesha Dravya Homa.
