A seated man in a maroon-red robe and dark red turban sits on an ornate silver throne draped with leopard-print fabric, smiling with hands pressed together in a namaste-like gesture. He wears a heavy gold ceremonial necklace and a red wristband. A standing man in an orange-saffron robe and beard reaches forward to place his hands on the turban, appearing to give a blessing or crown-like honour. A silver ornamental pedestal and a silver lion-head sculpture are visible nearby.2018-01-05A seated man on an ornate silver throne with leopard-print cushion is being crowned or adorned with a maroon turban by a standing figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban. The seated man wears a maroon-red dhoti-style wrap, a gold necklace, a red bracelet and a gold-trimmed shawl draped over the chest. The standing figure, wearing a long orange kurta and holding the turban with both hands, appears to be a priest or attendant. A pink and red fringed umbrella with crystal embellishments stands at the right edge, and a seated person in orange is partly visible in the lower right corner. The stage backdrop is dark red and blurred. Only the two main figures and a partially visible third person are present. The seated figure has a distinctive long swept-back hairstyle, a gold necklace and a red wrap, which are consistent with a person at the seat of honour, though the exact identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2018-01-05January 05 20182018-01-05December 10 20172017-12-10January 05 20182018-01-05A photograph of a ceremonial moment on a red-cushioned throne with ornate gold carved backrest. A smiling man in a rust-orange turban and orange robe, wearing a multicoloured flower garland of white, blue and red blooms, reaches to drape an orange shawl over the head of a bare-chested ascetic with matted, bound locks. A shaved-headed attendant in orange kneels in the lower right foreground, and a second attendant in orange with a sacred thread stands at the left. A microphone rests on the red cushion at right. The seated man in the turban is a figure of presumed authority, rendered with cues of distinctive turban and garland; the scene reads as a darshan blessing.2016-04-30 +1 copiesMarch 25 20182018-03-25December 10 20172017-12-10March 25 20182018-03-25December 21 20162016-12-21December 10 20172017-12-10March 25 20182018-03-25
