A row of young men in saffron-orange dhotis sit cross-legged on the floor for a communal meal, eating from banana leaves laid end to end. Many wear rudraksha malas, bangles and white vibhuti or chandan markings on their foreheads, chests and arms. Some hold small cups and scoop food with their fingers; rice, vegetables and sweets are served on the leaves, with small paper cups set along the edge. The hall behind is decorated with warm lights and red drapery.
