Outdoor ceremony under a white tent with red and pink fringed valances at a Kanchipuram ashram land inauguration. A bare-chested man in orange cloth stands before a saffron-robed figure with hair in a topknot and glasses, who drapes a long garland of white, yellow and red flowers around his neck. A man in white on the right holds a silver tray with offerings, and another man in white stands at left beside a white-draped table. A banner with Tamil text and a framed photograph of a forest scene is behind them. The saffron-robed person is a sannyasi or priest; the garlanded man's identity is not established from appearance.
