Outdoor ritual bathing at a large black stone Shiva lingam with a flower garland, water streaming from its top, at a pool edged with red and white striped steps. Dozens of devotees in white and light clothes wade in the water around a decorated wooden palanquin or ratha draped with yellow and garland decorations, with a figure in orange robes standing among them. Spectators line the water's edge, a standing man in a white shirt and a woman in a pink patterned sari in the foreground. Palm trees and orange festival bunting frame the background.
