A large crowd of devotees dressed in white clothing fills a high-ceilinged hall during a convention session at Salem, Tamil Nadu. Many people stand close together, some with arms raised and hands clapping, some swaying in a joyful group dance. A man in the foreground wears white with a rudraksha mala and raises one hand, a bald man beside him wears a rudraksha mala over white, and several women wear white and green saris. A video camera on a tripod stands at right. Ceiling fans, fluorescent lights and balcony railings are visible. No single figure matching the a person cues is clearly identifiable among the crowd.
