A photograph taken under a tent with a woven palm-leaf roof and a strip of pink, yellow, green and blue triangular bunting along its edge. Outdoors on open grassland, a group of about a dozen men and women in white shirts, saris and dhotis stand and sit together. A man in an orange-saffron top sits in the foreground beside a child in white. Beyond them, a funeral pyre of stacked logs sits on the ground with a few flower garlands nearby, while a young man in shorts holds a rope near it. Scattered yellow and pink flowers and a yellow plastic bag lie on the ground.
