A large crowd fills a dusty road at a Kumbh Mela procession, with many saffron-clad sadhus and white-clad devotees. In the centre a golden palanquin carries a seated figure in orange robes and a golden canopy, with a red and yellow umbrella above. Several white horses carry naked and saffron-robed sadhus, and red flags wave among the crowd. A pink banner shows a figure in red against painted scenes. Tents and white flags line the background, and police in khaki stand near yellow barriers.

A seated man in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas sits on an ornate gold palanquin under a multicoloured canopy, flanked by attendants in orange and white. Dense crowds of devotees line a yellow barrier, many holding red and orange flags and small umbrellas, and fluttering orange banners surround the scene. Tents and a tall stage canopy stand in the background. The figure's appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity from appearance, so the role is described only as a seated figure on a palanquin.
