Dasara celebration on an ornate gold throne (peetha) before a large orange banner with Kannada script and the word Dasara. A figure in orange robes, an orange turban and a rudraksha-style beaded mala sits on the throne, which is decorated with marigold and red flower garlands. A standing attendant in orange dhoti and shawl, at left, offers something to him, and a group of young girls in green, maroon and blue dresses, with a woman in white, approach the throne. To the right stands a large silver-toned deity murti with a crown and jewelled ornaments, and rows of small oil lamps line the floor in front. A decorative umbrella (chhatra) hangs above the throne.
