A photograph of a kitchen serving area with tiled walls and barred windows. Several men stand at a long stainless-steel counter where large steel pots and pans hold food; one man in a light blue t-shirt with a colourful circular graphic stands at left stirring a pot, and another in a white t-shirt with a bird graphic and a beaded mala serves from a ladle. Other men in blue, white and light blue shirts wait in line holding plates, and an older woman in a grey patterned shawl stands at far right. The scene reads as communal food preparation and distribution, consistent with annadan.
