On the left, a flower-garlanded altar draped in white and purple blooms holds a framed portrait and a red garland. A man in a saffron-orange robe with long hair and a gold-toned necklace, a person candidate, stands at center, facing a man in a white shirt who reaches toward him. Nearby, a man in white kurta and a young man in white robes stand; women in light saris and a woman in white are in the crowd at right. Stage lights on stands and a microphone stand are visible; potted plants sit near the stage area.2005-11-24A photograph of a large, mostly empty hall with bare concrete floor and white walls with tall windows and a fabric-draped ceiling. Rows of men sit on red-cushioned black chairs facing away toward the back of the room, many dressed in white shirts and dark trousers, while others stand in clusters. Several men wear orange or saffron shawls and stoles, and one woman in a yellow sari stands at the right edge. A man in an orange shirt stands at left, holding a phone. The audience appears to be waiting or listening, with no visible speaker or stage in frame.
