Outdoor ritual photo beneath tall palm trees. In the centre, a man in a dark maroon robe with a long white cloth draped over his shoulders and a rudraksha mala around his neck and a garland of white flowers and red roses holds a white cloth and gazes upward. To the left stands a carved wooden kalasha-like pot topped with a bundle of straw and green mango leaves, decorated with white flower garlands and yellow marigolds. On the right, a bare-chested priest with a sacred thread wears an orange and yellow-bordered dhoti and holds a woven basket. A tall gold-toned structure is visible behind them. The scene suggests a ceremonial abhishekam or puja setting.

A man in saffron-orange robes with a long rudraksha mala and a flower garland holds a rope in his raised right hand, pulling the flag rope during the flag-hoisting. A second man in orange cloth with a striped border stands beside the pole, arm extended. The first man wears a dark wrapped turban-like headpiece and a red-and-white garland. The scene shows the Dwajarohanam flag-hoisting that begins a Brahmotsavam.2016-01-11September 26 20162016-09-26Outdoor photograph beside a palm grove. A person in a rust-orange dhoti with gold-and-maroon borders stands at a carved ornamental pillar draped with white and red flower garlands and topped with a thatched mango-leaf bundle. The person bends forward and holds red marigold garlands with blue ribbon accents while a rope passes through the scene. Another arm in a red-patterned cloth reaches in from the right, and a blue-and-orange cloth edge appears at the far right. The appearance is ambiguous, so no identity is asserted; the visible person is a devotee or priest performing an offering at the pillar.2015-01-04Outdoor ritual scene beneath tall coconut palms. A bearded man in a rust-red dhoti and maroon-and-orange turban, with a rudraksha mala and a garland of white and pink flowers, grips a long white cloth hanging from a wooden-and-copper ritual post. The post is topped with green leaves and wrapped with yellow and red marigold garlands. Beside him a shirtless younger man in orange dhoti and rudraksha beads holds a basket of white cloth and looks upward. Blurred devotees stand in the foreground, and a colourful striped festoon hangs behind them. This appears to be a dhwajarohanam-style flag-hoisting ritual, shown as a photograph.2016-12-03
