Outdoor ritual scene at a Karthikai Deepam celebration with a long orange-draped table under a open-air canopy. Several shaved-headed priests in orange and saffron robes and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged, one in white dhoti, handling offerings and money notes on a brass plate. A standing man in a white shirt on the right holds his palms together with ash. Brass oil lamps, a flower-garlanded deity murti, a banner behind, and palm trees and a tent complete the setting. Several other people stand and watch in the background.
