Photograph of a crowded wooden ferry boat on the river at the Triveni Sangam near Allahabad, with rust-coloured bamboo railings running across the frame. Many passengers sit closely packed: a woman in a red jacket and maroon skirt at left, a man in a brown hooded jacket in the foreground, a woman in an orange top, and several women wrapped in white and cream shawls, one in a turquoise outfit with a white head covering. A man in a grey jacket holds a framed picture on his lap. Other boats crowd the water behind, with a sandy bank and hazy sky in the background.
