No people are visible in the frame.2017-07-07A photograph of a large ritual offering spread laid out on a dark stone floor at night. Dozens of round disposable plates, many lined with green leaves and wrapped in clear plastic, hold grains, lentils, sprouts, pulses, vegetables, cooked dishes and fruit in varied colours. A bunch of ripe bananas hangs at the upper left beside a folded red and maroon cloth with a small red flower, and a basket of red flowers sits at the left edge. A basket of red and white flowers sits at top centre, and a bunch of ripe bananas rests on a large green banana leaf at right beside a small wooden box. Folded silk cloths are arranged at left: a deep maroon sari with gold border and red floral embroidery, and a pink and green cloth with gold motifs, next to a white dhoti-style cloth with gold border. Several round clay or leaf dishes hold white and brown food offerings, including rice-like preparations and a sweet-looking mixture. Red cloth or bundled red material lies at the right edge, and a brass or red-cloth-covered vessel sits at the top. This appears to be an offering arrangement for a ritual, but no people or specific ceremony name is visible.2017-07-07A photograph of a food offering arranged on the floor of a temple hall.
