A photograph of a river bathing ritual in shallow water. A bearded man with long, dark, wet hair is being doused with water as he bows forward, a splash rising around him. Around him stand robed devotees: a man in a white dhoti with gold border and a maroon shawl wearing layered gold-bead and rudraksha-style necklaces, a shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron robe with a beaded necklace, and a man in a maroon sash and white dhoti holding a long pole. Behind them, a crowd carries colourful umbrellas in pink, green and orange, and red and yellow flags, under a bright sky.
